THEA VIDALE is a standup comedian who began her career performing in clubs in Washington D.C.  Not shy to controversy, her performances are known for her sassy delivery and raw depictions of American culture. She appeared in the cable comedy special “Rodney Dangerfield: Opening Night at Rodney’s Place” on HBO in 1989. On the same special were such notables as Tim Allen, Jeff Foxworthy and Sam Kinison.  Thea had the distinction of being the first African American woman to have a sitcom named after her when she starred in Thea on ABC, for which she was nominated for a People’s Choice Award. Her acting career has landed her guest appearances on Ellen, The Drew Carey Show, Ugly Betty, and Drake & Josh.  Thea has also appeared on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, and recently performed on TV Guide’s comedy show Standup in Stilettos. She has twice appeared on The Howard Stern Show on Sirius XM Radio. For a 2 month period in 2006, she was part of the WWE as Momma Benjamin, portraying the mother of wrestler Shelton Benjamin.  By interfering with a match, she helped Benjamin win WWE’s Intercontinental Championship.  Vidale headlined ZipStohr’s Comedy at the Plaza 12 several years ago and is BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!
